Ports (TCP/UDP) are numbered connections the computer uses to sort the kinds of network traffic flowing through your computer. A specific port can support incoming traffic, outgoing traffic, or both. By default, Internet ports and LAN ports are closed so that traffic cannot flow through them. To open any UDP ports, you can do the following: Go to Control Panel> System and Security and Windows Firewall. Advanced settings > right-click Inbound Rules and select New Rule.
